Jalaina, a highly skilled Registered Nurse with over 20 years of healthcare experience, leads InnerEssence Health with a deep passion for preventative care and wellness. With a strong background in ER and cardiology nursing, Jalaina is committed to providing the safest, most effective treatments available.

About the Founder
Jalaina Coakley, BSN RN
Dr. Jose Ruiz is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with a passion for preventative care and total wellness. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1999, followed by his medical degree from UCLA in 2003. He then completed his residency at USC, where he honed his skills in patient care and chronic disease management.
While his experience has given him a deep understanding of treating illness, his latest passion lies in proactive healthcare—helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal wellness before disease develops. He believes “adopting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential to healthy aging”.
As the Medical Director of InnerEssence Health, Dr. Ruiz brings his expertise in preventative medicine, hydration therapy, and overall wellness optimization to support individuals in leading healthier, more vibrant lives.
